Dream on!

I have a work from home dream.

I wake up in the morning and start writing in the notebook I keep by my bed. I write everything that came to me in my night-time vision. I wipe my brow and look over my work.The title is in strong bold letters, and underlined: GET RICH QUICK My heart quickens because here is the secret. The real secret to my life of ease and luxury. The moment I've been waiting for. The golden key to a wonderful new future. I look further down the page, eager to learn just how the magic will work. There's the title "Get Rich Quick" Here's the first paragraph: "Get Rich Quick". And on the second line the same phrase. And on the third line, and all the way down the page.

Then it dawns on me... I've woken up and written Get Rich Quick over and over again, hundreds of times. my magic secret formula to everlasting wealth and happiness is nonsense!

How many of us have this dream?

How many of us entrepreneurs and online business people think, in the back of our minds, that one day we will wake up with that magic formula. One bright morning, after a divine visitation in the night, the mist will fall away and we will suddenly have the knowledge we need to work from home make those millions, help mankind and fulfil our destiny. And I wonder too how much time and energy is wasted waiting for that mystical inspiration when really we need to be getting our hands dirty and working away.

I have a choice: I can go back to sleep and hope that this time my Get Rich Quick Dream actually produces some amazing revelation... OR I can go back to my Get Rich Slow Plan. I can fire up the computer, connect to the internet, answer my emails, write some more web content, upload some auto-responder messages, work on my products and generally take care of business!
